As announced earlier, I was considering moving to a new place. I have chosen my path and I will remain.
At the moment, I'm setting up new home bases. One will be my current Pixiv
account, which will be upgraded later, and -surprise surprise- FurAffinity
Now, I know some of you won't be happy with my migration to FA, but bear with me. This is a pure rational choice. There is nowhere besides dA a bigger community for the kind of stuff I draw, plus I have had a long going thought to incorporate a non-human character in one of my projects.
Next to that, FA allows (even welcomes) adult rated art and has a big commissioner-based tradition as well, which is very attractive for me. I have had some grudges against furry art, but as you grow up, you learn to tolerate and accept other people's interests (or the other way around and grow to be a hateful and bitter soul). FA also allows me to go a bit beyond the SWJ threshold of DeviantArt, which has been a big limit IMO.
For those who don't like FA, there is always Pixiv. I have already explained far and beyond why I want to stay there, so I won't go into that again. To view my adult rated content, get an account and turn off your filter in the settings (a new world will open up as well, I promise). Images posted on Pixiv will be in consent with Japanese law and the language I will post in, will mostly be Japanese (as it's a Japanese network).
Anyway, dA is over for me, but what does that mean? This means I won't be posting new art any more, unless it has been commissioned over DA and/or requested I post it here. I won't be posting any new journals, but I will reply to notes, messages and occasionally react on other journals and artworks.
It has been good with you all. It really was. The problem is the staff and the way they handle their members, legality issues (theft) and the sheer unprofessional arrogance that just reflects off their posts. I never hoped I had to make this decision, but I don't want to contribute anymore to the pocket of liars.
